| Project Description: | This Contract is for the construction of a new bridge over the Hunter River at Aberdeen and approximately 0.7km of approach roadwork’s on Highway No. 9, the New England Highway, from 12 km 420 to 13 km 320 north of Muswellbrook. The project involves the construction of a new bridge to the west of the existing northbound and southbound Fitzgerald Bridge to carry one lane of traffic in each direction and the construction of the realigned approaches to the new bridge. |

Replacement bridge over Bogan River 43km East of Bourke
| Project Description: | The works in this Contract comprise of a replacement concrete bridge 70m long over the Bogan River on the Kamilaroi Highway approximately 43km east of Bourke.
The design of the new bridge provides for three spans (19.95+20.00+30.00m) of precast pre-tensioned Super T girders with a composite reinforced concrete deck slab. The deck is continuous over piers. Deck expansion joints and concrete approach slabs are provided at both abutments. The reinforced concrete abutments are supported on 400mm square driven reinforced concrete piles. Each pier comprises a reinforced concrete headstock/column wall/pilecap supported on 400mm square driven reinforced concrete piles. |
